SEGIB’s Role in Promoting Regional Cooperation

The Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) is an international organization that promotes dialogue, cooperation, and integration among the 22 countries that make up the Ibero-American community, including Spain, Portugal, and the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking nations of Latin America.

SEGIB works to advance political cooperation, encourage sustainable development, strengthen regional partnerships, and promote economic growth through collaboration between governments, institutions, and the private sector.

Leaders Discuss Investment Opportunities

Among the attendees was Javier Cárdenas-Moreno, President and CEO of Rhino Equipment®, who joined Andrés Allamand, Secretary General of SEGIB, along with other business and institutional leaders to discuss opportunities for expanding investment and commercial partnerships between Latin America and Spain.

The discussions focused on enhancing economic cooperation, supporting private-sector investment, and identifying new avenues for sustainable business development throughout the Ibero-American region.

Building Stronger Economic Connections

As trade and investment continue to play an increasingly important role in regional development, meetings such as this provide valuable opportunities to strengthen relationships between business leaders and policymakers.

The exchange of ideas highlighted the importance of collaboration in fostering innovation, encouraging entrepreneurship, and creating conditions that support long-term economic growth across both Latin America and Europe.

Advancing Ibero-American Partnerships

The gathering reaffirmed the shared commitment of public institutions and private enterprises to deepen economic integration and promote mutually beneficial investment initiatives.
