Javier Cárdenas-Moreno Participates in VII Presidential Dialogue Alongside Former Heads of State

Miami, FL — Rhino Equipment® President and CEO Javier Cárdenas-Moreno participated in the VII Presidential Dialogue, an international forum that brought together former presidents from Spain and Latin America, business executives, and public policy leaders to discuss the major political, economic, and social challenges shaping the Western Hemisphere.

Hosted by Miami Dade College on October 25, 2022, the event focused on strengthening democratic institutions, promoting economic growth, and addressing the global challenges facing nations following the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing geopolitical conflicts.

Representing the private sector, Javier Cárdenas-Moreno joined distinguished business leaders invited to the forum in recognition of the essential role that entrepreneurship and private enterprise play in creating jobs, driving investment, and supporting economic recovery.

International Leaders Discuss Democracy and Global Stability

The opening panel featured former Colombian President Iván Duque, who highlighted the importance of protecting democratic institutions and warned about political movements that threaten social unity and democratic governance across Latin America.

Joining the discussion were former Ecuadorian President Jamil Mahuad, former Bolivian President Jorge Quiroga, and former Costa Rican President Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, who shared their perspectives on the future of democracy, regional cooperation, and institutional stability.

Throughout the dialogue, participants emphasized the need for strong democratic leadership capable of responding to increasingly complex global challenges.

Economic Freedom and Leadership Take Center Stage

The second panel, titled “Growing in Freedom: The Challenge of the West,” was led by former Spanish Prime Minister José María Aznar, who underscored the importance of economic freedom, intellectual leadership, and sound public policy in creating opportunities for future generations.

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox also participated, encouraging leaders to inspire young entrepreneurs and promote innovation as a foundation for long-term economic development.

Discussions throughout the forum addressed several critical international issues, including food security, human rights, post-pandemic economic recovery, and the geopolitical consequences of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
