Éxito rotundo de la III Gala del Teatro Real en el Carnegie Hall de Nueva York

New York – On June 5th, Teatro Real inaugurated its highly anticipated 2025 U.S. Tour with the celebration of its III Gala at Carnegie Hall. The event brought together leading figures from the worlds of culture, diplomacy, and business in one of the most iconic concert halls in the world.

Un escenario legendario para una noche inolvidable

La velada comenzó a las 17:30 horas con una recepción de bienvenida y cena de gala en el Weill Terrace Room del Carnegie Hall. Posteriormente, a las 20:30 horas, el público se trasladó al imponente Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, donde dio comienzo el concierto.

The event was hosted by the President and General Director of Teatro Real, along with the AHCES Foundation. It marked a significant moment in the institution’s international outreach and cultural diplomacy efforts.

Among the distinguished attendees were David Rockefeller Jr., Gregorio Marañón, Javier Cárdenas Moreno, Myriam Lapique, Enrique González Campuzano, Revoredo de Gut, Teresa A.L. Bulgheroni, and Xandra Falcó Girod, marchioness of Mirabel. They are all prominent supporters of the arts and of Teatro Real’s global mission.

Un programa musical de excelencia

La primera parte del concierto abrió con las Danzas Fantásticas, Op. 22 de Joaquín Turina, seguidas por el Concierto para violín en Re Mayor, Op. 35 de Erich Wolfgang Korngold, interpretado magistralmente por la joven violinista María Dueñas.

After the intermission, the second part presented a lyrical journey through great titles of the Spanish repertoire. The soprano Saioa Hernández was the protagonist of selected arias from La vida breve by Manuel de Falla, El gato montés by Manuel Penella, and Los claveles by José Serrano. The program was completed with orchestral works by Maurice Ravel. These included Alborada del gracioso and La valse as a brilliant closing of the evening.

The Teatro Real Orchestra, under the baton of David Afkham, delivered an exceptional performance. It was met with long ovations and critical acclaim.
