Law enforcement officials later located the suspect’s vehicle more than 100 miles away in Charlottesville, leading to a coordinated effort between agencies across state lines. Webber was ultimately apprehended at a hospital, where he had reportedly sought medical treatment.
He was initially taken into custody as a fugitive and booked into a regional jail while authorities prepared formal charges. Officials in Charles County have indicated that Webber is expected to face first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and additional related charges upon extradition.
The legal process is ongoing, with court proceedings expected to determine the timeline for his return to Maryland. Authorities have also stated that the investigation remains active, and they continue to seek additional information related to the case.
